Question 3
NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) Technology Appraisal (TA1026) guidance is delivered by Primary Care. Tier 3 and 4 weight management services are currently delivered by University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
There are currently no partnerships in place.
Question 4
The allocations detailed in the table below represent the current primary care funded position for adult weight management services commissioned by Lincolnshire ICB. We are unable to provide the values for acute commissioned services as these form part of the block contract arrangements held with NHS providers. Both primary care allocations are ring-fenced, meaning they are dedicated solely to weight management interventions and cannot be diverted to other programmes. These services are commissioned through Primary Care under national frameworks, with no additional local commissioning arrangements currently in place.
Weight management directed enhanced service - primary care - max allocation £114,000 - ringfenced
Specialised weight management - primary care - max allocation £153,000 - ringfenced
At this stage, the funding flows and commissioning responsibilities are not expected to change given Neighbourhood Health Centres.
