Buckingham, Oxford and Berkshire West

Question 1

Yes. We have a pathway infographic for Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and an ICB policy for Tier 3 weight management services.

Question 2

We only have data on age and sex, please see here.

Question 3

Yes, the ICB has weight management services being delivered in our neighbourhoods, including some services commissioned by the ICB and some by the Local Authority. These are mostly services available across the entire Place, although there are some obesity Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) planned to be delivered at a neighbourhood level. We do not have "Neighbourhood Health Centres" currently.

The ICB works frequently with our local HIN (Oxford and Thames Valley HIN) on weight management projects

Question 4

The ICB currently commissions the following services:

• Royal Berkshire Hospital bariatric surgery
• Weight Wise (diabetes focused weight service in Oxfordshire provided by OUH)
• Weight off your Mind (dietetic service in Berkshire provided by RBFT)
• Way Forward Bucks (tier 3 service in Buckinghamshire)

These services are included within the ICB’s block contracts with providers. As such, specific funding allocations for these individual services are not separately identified.

Funding for these services is contained within the wider block contracts and is not separately ring-fenced.

The ICB is currently progressing discussions around our neighbourhood models; however, we do not currently have firm plans or timelines regarding changes to funding flows or commissioning responsibilities for weight management services.
