Black Country
Question 1
Yes, but only for bariatric surgery: BCICB_POLICY_-_Bariatric_Surgery_in_Adults_FINAL_Acc_Done.pdf
Question 2
The Black Country ICB does not hold this information. This is because the ICB does not send/receive referrals for weight management services. We recommend you redirect your request to the Acute Trusts within the Black Country who are responsible for providing weight management services, as well as the Local Authorities who are responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 weight management services.
Question 3
There are no plans currently to deliver these pathways. A joint bid has been submitted between BCICB and BSOL as part of the Innovation UK funding of which HIN were part of the working group.
Question 4
The ICB currently commission T3 and T4 services across the Black Country. NHSE funding is used to commission pathways across Primary Care for Tier 3. BCICB are currently reviewing weight management pathways to ensure that these meet population need. We do not have timescales at this moment in time.
